Casa Argentina de Houston (CAH)- Electronic mail Policy
|
|
I. Scope: |
|
This policy states the procedures used by Casa Argentina de
Houston to send electronic mails to its members and friends, with
what frequency, and what the recipients have to do to add and remove email
addresses to its mailing list. |
|
|
|
II. Adding electronic mail addresses to CAH's
mailing list: |
Electronic Mail Addresses are added to CAH's mailing
list for one or more of the following reasons: a) The owner of the address has filled an on-line
form to that purpose.
b) The owner of the address became a member of CAH and has provided
CAH with its mailing list in a paper membership form, or in an
on-line form. What follows is the list of forms that require
the future members to enter an email address:
c) The owner of the address has provided an
email address in a reservation form
for an event organized by CAH.
|
|
|
|
II. Removing an electronic email address from CAH's
mailing list ("opt-out procedure"): |
In order to remove an electronic email address from CAH's
mailing list, the address owner shall send an email to
webmaster@casaargentina.org
with the subject title: "Unsubscribe".
If you are receiving duplicates of CAH's mails, please write us an email
to the same address, with the subject line "Duplicate".
Once CAH receives your email to either Unsubscribe or to remove
Duplicates, that address will be removed from CAH's mailing list
within the next seven days, although it will remain in our database if
you are a paid member of the organization, but you will not receive
weekly emails anymore. If you are not a paid member of the
organization, your email address will be completely removed from both
our database and the mailing list. One last confirmation
email will be sent to the address with the sole purpose of acknowledging
the request to unsubscribe or remove duplicate. |
|
|
|
III. About the contents and frequency of emails sent
by CAH to its mailing list: |
|
CAH will correspond to its members and friends through
emails to communicate them of events pertaining to the organization or
other non-profits organizations within the Houston area. Emails to
the entire mailing list will be sent, at the most, at the rate of one
per week. Most of CAH's emails will be in Spanish, although,
from time to time, the contents may also be written in English.
The emails may contain links to reservation sites or to other websites
of non-profit organizations, or some of CAH's commercial sponsors.
|
|
|
| IV. Privacy: |
| CAH will not share its mailing list, nor
any data collected from its members and friends to any other
organization.
|
| |
| V. Use of CAH's email system: |
| CAH will not use the electronic mailing
system for any purpose other than to communicate to its members and
friends of coming events that may be of interest to them. |
| |
| VI. How to file a complaint: |
| Complaints regarding CAH's mail use shall
be directed to CAH's webmaster (webmaster@casaargentina.org)
and/or to CAH's president (president@casaargentina.org)
specifying date and content of the email that is the subject of the complaint.
Should you not be satisfied by our response, or have any question about
our email policy, and you feel your questions or complaints have not
been properly answered by the officials mentioned above, you can direct
